Catalyzing Inclusive Insurance Innovation: BimaLab Launches Post-Program Grant for High-Impact Kenyan Alumni Insurtechs

BimaLab is thrilled to announce the Post-Program Grant Support a catalytic funding opportunity designed exclusively for Kenyan insurtech startups that have successfully graduated from the BimaLab Accelerator.

This initiative aims to accelerate inclusive insurance innovation, bridge the financing gap for early and growth-stage startups, and reward BimaLab alumni who continue to drive real impact across Kenya’s insurance ecosystem.

Why This Matters

Across Kenya, BimaLab alumni are redefining how insurance works for underserved communities extending protection to farmers, gig workers, women entrepreneurs, and low-income households.

Yet, even the most promising insurtechs face a familiar challenge after acceleration: limited access to flexible, growth-ready capital.

This Post-Program Grant, backed by FSD Africa, responds directly to that gap combining funding, technical assistance, and mentorship to help high-impact startups grow sustainably while deepening their social and economic footprint.
